An Epitaph on a Miser

Taken from Translations and other verses by C. K. Pooler (London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1900)

He's flitted, an' whether for waur or for better,
We canna weel say, nor it's no muckle matter;
But this we can safely assert, without study,
A narrower saul never fled frae a body.
